The guesthouse is open May 15th to September 15th - advanced bookings are necessary.
The on-site restaurant offers traditional Icelandic dishes and scenic views of the waterfall. Nearby facilities include a food shop and a gas pump.
At Fosshóll you can also find a camping site with basic services plus a foodstore and a petrol station. A 35-minute drive away is Husavik, where whale watching is a popular activity. Northern Iceland’s largest town, Akureyri, and the beautiful Lake Myvatn are also close by. Trout and salmon fishermen can visit Lake Ljósavatn or the Fljótsheiði Moorlands.

For trout fishermen, Lake Ljósavatn is close by and up the Moor Fljótsheiði is a variety of pools and lakes within a walking distance from Fosshóll.
Lake Svartárvatn is also recommended because the fantastic scenery in the Iceland's interior. 
Salmon Rivers within a driving distance are Fnjóská in Fnjóskadalur, Svartá in Bárðardalur and Laxá in Aðaldalur.
Daily fishing licenses can in most cases be bought from the farmers or landowners directly.
